My “new” iBook
![]()
[Chuck's Blog] It has panther installed which should be fine for now. I know that leopard won’t do me much good, so I might install tiger at some point but I am not completely sure.

Mac Pro - Power Mac G3, G4 & G5 Models :: Mac Pro Boot With Tiger?
![]()
[Mac Owners Support Group] Is it possible to boot a Mac Pro with Tiger, from an internal HD or external FW HD? If there is no way possible to boot a Mac Pro from Tiger, is there an emulator that will allow me to run most (or all?) of my old apps that Ive been running on my iBook G4 1Ghz (running Tiger)?

Happy Birthday, Mac OS X
[Martin Gordons Blog] feeling I get every time a new OS upgrade comes out. I’m not talking about just features wise, because who knows the last time I used the Dashboard or Smart Folders was, but also performance-wise and UI refinement (pinstripes anyone?).

[Starting up another start-up for starters] wallet is missing :-( If anyone found the one shown below in Erlangen (possible places are the Intermezzo, D-Lounge, Havana Bar, Galileo, and in front of the Paisley Park (*yawn*)), please let me know - it's dearly missed.

Cache (not Cash)
[The Adventurer's Club] Spent portions of the last two days cleaning up, repairing and refurbishing my Geocaches. For the majority of you that have no idea what I'm talking about, Geocaching is a game (sport?) where you use a GPS to locate a hidden container in the woods (forest).

Queer Eye for the Bat Guy
[The Adventurer's Club] Okay, the only reason this is odd is because it is from a vintage Batman comic. One wonders if the writer knew he was being funny or this really slipped through the editorial crack.

Edit Tiger's slideshow transitions
[The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)] Using Quartz Composer, you can edit the transitions that Tiger uses when you launch a slideshow in the Finder. First, make a copy of SlideshowTransition.qtz (but you knew that, right?) which lives in /System /Library /PrivateFrameworks /Slideshow.framework /Versions /A /Resources.
