[The Second Mouse’s Guide to Life] Live Journal from July 2005: I don’t why but for some reason, the weekend, and the 4th of July party, of which the drunken Tuesday was just an extension, just didn’t seem like a proper vacation. It was the weekend, and for Saturday and Sunday I was working, technically, for Blackbird and Billy O’s, and even though its hard to call what I do work, its still work.

Diane and I looked at each other and said, "we don't have kids, we wanted the book." The teacher volunteered, "okay, I admit it my kids hate Harry, I'm here for me." We ended up talking to her for like an hour, very nice very cool woman, and the coup de grace - She had ordered 2 books, had 2 tickets numbers 300 and 301, and she generously gave us number 301! That was really cool and meant I'd be home before 2 am!
