Love the Mac > OS X 10.4.7 Calls Home

[ The Daily Mac] According to this Apple KB article, the recent update to OS X Tiger included a little app to make sure your widgets are up to date: You can now verify whether or not a Dashboard widget you downloaded is the same version as a widget featured on apple.com before installing it. Many users have been upset about this because they feel that Apple should have been more up front about the addition.
