Love the Mac > My Life With Guitar: Guitar Lessons and G4 Guitar
[My Life With Guitar] I want to write a guitar program that would give guitarists of most styles (Rock, Pop, Jazz, Blues and even classical) some kind of structure. I found it frustrating I guess that most teachers were using methods that were written 50 years ago.

[G4TechTV Canada TechNews] G4 | Tech News on G4 | Games, Gear, Gadgets & Gigabytes: Even if you play exclusively on Expert on a console version of Guitar Hero, don't be surprised if you have to move down to Hard on 'Modern Hits'. Though for the most part the gameplay is translated well onto the handheld, there are times when you know you're hitting the right notes and moving your fingers fast enough, but the touch screen just isn't picking up all the notes, ruining a huge multiplier and possibly a whole lot more in the process.
[The Aquarian Weekly] Unsigned Bands: Clinical Trials, Statelman, Teenage Millionaire ...: Without the support of a label, Statelman nevertheless are hard at work on a new EP, and promoting themselves through independent media and MySpace. Their pictures may show them looking gloomy and aloof, but they maintain an optimism and humility about their music thats admirable and unique among New Jersey bands nowadays.
[Television Tropes & Idioms - Recent Changes] I Don't Know Mortal Kombat - Television Tropes & Idioms: That is to say, the timing isn't more demanding than real guitar, but minor variations in tempo are not .This troper recalls a clip on G4 from a gaming event where the Barenaked Ladies played "One Week" on Karaoke Revolution.
[MacJams Music Blog] MacJams Music Blog » Blog Archive » Mark Holbrook: High Flying Man: So I’d like to ask fellow MacJammers to put a little more effort into searching around, listening and commenting on songs from artists you don’t know. Not only will you bring a little happiness to the artist you might very well surprise yourself and find something you really like.
[My Pathetic Life...] Fresh. . . . (not so hot yet) « My Pathetic Life”¦: With the silky-smooth bass lines of Mikey Matthews, candy coated melodies of singer/guitarist Mathew David Barletta, and the unrelenting rhythmic powerhouse that is drummer Johnny Barbas, the music that emerges stems from pure, unadulterated love for what they do. (they aren’t lost on my list of plays hehe)

[Subtraction.com] Subtraction.com: Designed Deterioration: I’m tempted to get a new one, but I’m looking at darker colors now, not because that’s my preference, but because I know the handles will wear better. So, as a consumer I’m torn between a lengthy kinship with a color pattern I love, and a lasting relationship with a second or third choice.
[Air guns - Pyramyd Air Report] Air guns - Pyramyd Air Report: Airguns are too easy!: When you ask PA about carrying the Tanaka SAA revolvers, please also ask if they'd offer a good quality fast draw belt & holster as well...low slung, tie down, hammer loop, perhaps with an angled metal lip to keep me from shooting myself in the leg or foot with an airsoft BB. (Then I could really indulge my childhood fantasies of being a fast-draw western action hero!)
[Television Tropes & Idioms - Recent Changes] Executive Meddling - Television Tropes & Idioms: The Food Album (along with The TV Album) were also both the result of executives wanting compilation albums. Although Weird Al didn't like the idea of The Food Album, he preferred it to the executive's original idea, Al Unplugged, which would have been a compilation of his songs, remixed to remove the electric instruments.
[The Technium] The Technium: 1000 True Fans: Avante-garde guitarist Buckethead has these ideals down to a science. His fan base mostly hangs out at 3 web forums, and pretty much all he has to do is get the word out on a new album on one of those and he can count on selling at least a few hundred copies within a few days.Last summer he released a 13 disc set of new material called “INSEARCHOFTHE”;each disc was hand-drawn/numbered and he sold many hundreds of sets:to me THAT is the kind of fan dedication that a major label cannot facilitate.Buckethead mainly works out of a small studio owned and run by Travis Dickerson called Travis Dickerson Recording Studio,or TDRS.He has also recorded all of Viggo Mortensen’s albums there. The artists on his site can sell quality cd’s,and they usually arrive within a few days of the posted starting shipping date. When artists like Buckethead make these concrete and GENUINE connections to fans and people who help them get their music out there a higher level of artistic integrity can be achieved as well as a more intimate connection to the fans. What other Guns n’ Roses member(new or old)can you think of who would go so far as to produce hand-made box sets, or release 20+ albums of QUALITY material in a single year?!
[Hyphen Blog] 0 Comments - Hyphen Magazine: Another scholar, Neil Smith, writes (in his 1992 article "Contours of a Spatialized Politics: Homeless Vehicles and the Production of Geographical Scale") on the use of "absurd vehicles" as means to provide space to "facilitate basic needs." The desis that Sharma talks about -- the ones who suffered job losses and were forced to move to urban areas at the start of the hip hop movement -- are not surprisingly the individuals most likely to utilize the "vehicle" that is hip hop in becoming politically empowered. In Smith's words, hip hop's "absurd" appeal to South Asians (as in Sharma's original question: "What would upwardly mobile, predominantly middle class Indians with immigrant backgrounds have in common with blacks in America?") "depends on its practicality" to the disempowered South Asian American.
[Comments for Tesla Founders Blog] Rescue Detroit « Tesla Founders Blog: Someone has stolen Paul McCartney’s famous Hoffner bass-the one he’s used since ‘63 (to this day in fact) : priceless. Why Macca?-we need some music for Panther 3 (recalling Henry Mancini original movie score)-also some of the old Merseybeat-type Paul tunes would fit in (per ‘64 movie “chalet Fran Jeffries song scene”
