My New Toy
[Adventures in Urban Living] I really enjoyed having something so compact that I could take to the coffee shop down the street, or curl up with on the couch to write e-mail while the TV provides background noise. I kept poking around the sale section of the online Apple Store for a good deal, and on Friday I found it, certified refurbished 1.2Ghz 12" iBook G4, and I knew I'd found it.

When Apple reduced the prices on iBooks last summer my Compaq had decided it wanted to start trying to die and require CPR and a restore every time I wanted to actually rely on it (the end of a 16 hour day 30 minutes from civilization with paperwork needing to be finished that people in LA, NY and London needed to see 1st thing next AM is not the time to have a crash and a reboot!) While the expansion, like the original program raised a lot of controversy, high schoolers are taking things into their own hands by looking into the success of the 7/8 grade program.
