Making the Switch to Mac OS X

[Krunker] I was reading some RSS feeds this afternoon and I came across this older editorial about making the switch to OS X from a Windows platform. It’s a good read for anyone interested in possibly going over to the Mac side.

Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.

http://www.drunkenblog.com [Drunkenblog.com] DrunkenBlog: RSS for Mac OS X Roundtable: It's also fair to say that we are at a point in history where we really need the kind of independent news outlets that technologies like RSS and Atom help popularise. I don't know if blogging is the future or journalism or not, but either way the more heads that can be turned away from the constant stream of infotainment dressed up as factual, unbaised news the better.

[Fondantfancies.com] Shrook 2 - RSS and Atom for Mac OS X: Shrook has the most comprehensive built-in podcast implementation of any Mac newsreader. When Shrook encounters a podcast, it is downloaded and added to iTunes.

[Newsfirerss.com] NewsFire. Mac RSS with Style.: Once you've found something interesting, download and listen to podcasts directly within NewsFire using the innovative download player window - there's no need to switch to another application just to listen to your newly loaded audio content. However, if you want to keep a podcast around for later listening, one click is all it takes to export the audio to iTunes.

Hebig.org[Hebig.org] RSS Feed Reader / News Aggregators Directory :: hebig.org/blog: Luke Hutteman's Sharpreader "handles all RSS versions, modules like dublin core, content:encoding, xhtml:body, etc., allows you to group your subscribed feeds in categories, set feed-refresh per feed or per category, reduces bandwidth by using HTTP Conditional GETs, supports RSS Auto-discovery and features error-correction of some common rss-feed errors (unescaped ampersands, illegal characters, unknown entities)"

http://freshlysqueezedsoftware.com [Freshlysqueezedsoftware.com] Freshly Squeezed Software - PulpFiction - Advanced News Reader ...: The subscriptions window shows you the name, URL, feed URL, number of articles, unread articles, and flagged articles, the last article's publication date, the last update, the next update, the schedule, and the label. Sort by any of these or use the handy search box in the toolbar!
