[The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)] I am a loyal Mac user since 1990 - I have used every OS since 6.04, I have owned a Mac Plus, Duo 210, a Motorola Starmax, a G3 (beige) tower, a dual 1.25 MDD, several iBooks, a Titanium Powerbook, an Aluminum Powerbook; I use a Mac mini, G5 tower and XServes at work and support nearly every Mac produced in the past six years.

[Doing Something Different: A Weblog by Doug Miller] Apple on Intel: Other folks have already been writing about the difficulties involved in this transition, and they may well be right. I want to see how Apple is going to avoid the "Osbourne effect." I want to see how many developers, especially small developers, decide to pull up stakes and join the ranks of Windows developers. But I can't help but think that Apple's been doing awfully well at executing and delivering great products, and it's clear that they're not stupid down in Cupertino. Tiger is the best Mac OS I've ever used.
[Backup Brain] Reply hazy, ask again later: I told him that I was leaving for WWDC that afternoon, and was there anything at all he could do so that I could have a laptop during the show? We worked out a deal so that I could have a loaner 12" iBook while my PowerBook was being repaired, and while I wasn't happy that my machine had died, or that I was losing a week's worth of work (I take a backup every Sunday, so of course it died on a Saturday), I had no complaints at all about the level of service I'd received.
[Tom Yager] OS X Tiger upgrade: The good: I have two Xserve G4s, an Xserve G5, a Power Mac G5 and a dual/dual Opteron tower all feeding from one Xserve RAID array. I'm running a mix of dedicated partitions and Xsan (Xsan for the Macs), and with those approaches available from a single array/switch set, there really aren't any storage configurations I can't set up. This is another instance where I took advantage of the scheduled downtime to make fuller use of the resources in my shop. I split one of my logical arrays to dedicate one to a growing collection of text files (e-books, US Code, catalogs...) to test searching and indexing, especially Spotlight.
[Halfass] Bug 4112664: Powerbook, iMac and G4 tower) running OS X 10.4 You need an Apple Developer Connection account to report and view bugs. After I installed Tiger, Mail.app was virtually useless. I suspect .Mac synching... your reply. Its a nice feature and, on my Mac, has a weird bug. If I approach the icon from
[Zudfunck.com] ZuDfunck: We were shocked to see the features and size of a HP PC Media Center just purchased by a colleague. We have significantly doubts about our Mac purchase in light of this purchase. With power and capacity compared to the PowerBook how do we grapple with the precipice we find our self perched on? How do I explain to my millions and millions of readers how I could be facing the innocent minds and when asked to explain my reasoning, I now have doubt!
[Macworld.com] Mac Gems Weblog: Accessories mini - Macworld Forums: Have you even looked around your desk and where the dust settles? (If you live in a dusty local i.e.) All this dust will then be sucked into your mac - and it's not going to prolong the life of your mac. So, I do think the mac mini has it's purpose, similar to stands for big towers that once where placed on floors, that it helps to keep dust out. Now the light sure is a fancy feature, but why not inlcude a USB2 hub with it?
