Cooler! Power Mac G5 speeds to dual-2.5GHz
[Digg / Apple / upcoming] Apple has released new G5 Power Mac with a maximum processor speed of 2.5GHz, and dual processors across the range - costing from £1,449 (including VAT) for the dual-1.8GHz entry-level model. Apple’s dual-2.0GHz model now costs £1,849 (down from £2,299).

Apple's Year Ahead: Slashing Mac Prices To Boost Market Share? (AAPL)
[Silicon Alley Insider] Me guess is that Apple will add BluRay disk drives to all their models and not charge extra for it - eating that would put a dent in the bottom line. They're also going to have new cases for the Mac Book and Mac Book Pro and SSD storage as an extra-cost option on all their portables, plus all the general product evolution things - larger touchpad, mutlitouch, incremental enhancements.

Migrating Komplete 4 from G5 to MacPro
[NI User Forums] I'm getting a Mac pro 8 core to replace my G5 (which isn't running Leopard.) If I update all my Komplete 4 on the G5 to the latest versions can I then use the migration tool to copy the apps and authorizations? I am going to put the sample drive from the G5 into the Mac Pro so I won't have to re-install the sample content.

Three Years of Problems with My iMac G5
