Yes, I'm the prototype BlackBerry user like all these bankers, lawyers, or assistants to Congress members. Former Intel chairman Andy Grove has once joked that the BlackBerry is so addictive, "It should be reported to the DEA." and Marc Andreessen, himself a huge BlackBerry fan, has banned the device from meetings. Read more about the history of BlackBerry in this excellent FastCompany article.

[Leon.hivemind.net] My POV: Certainly the jump from Panther to Tiger is a far greater leap than the previous evolution from Jaguar to Panther. Apple claims 200+ enhancements and of these, being a non-techie Apple supporter, I count Dashboard and Automator as some of the most significant enhancements. I'm not qualified to comment on the improvements in system architecture and I think Quicktime 7 (now supporting HD) is an overdue and separate evolution.

[Linux.sys-con.com] Linux on iPod: 2.4.24 Kernel Available @ LINUXWORLD: Just over a year ago, the Linux on iPod site went live, and judging by the half-a million page views and over two thousand downloads, interest is still strong. According to the site's question and answer page, right now the project is focused on porting the uClinux kernel to the iPod. Ideally the kernel will support all the hardware features available on the iPod. Why would you do that?

Windsofchange.net[Windsofchange.net] Winds of Change.NET: iPod Nation: Apple's problems keeping things in stock at important times go back a long way, actually. That doesn't surprise me, and neither does their determination to ride the fashionista wave on the iPod right now. The portable music market is hitting an inflection point, and if Apple rides it well it will make a huge difference to their business. iPod = iTunes = Apple music store = more drivers for titles to list with them = more iPods = entrenchment of Quicktime too.

[Digxworld.com] digxworld.com: Mike Davidson wrote about this on his blog: Apparently iPod's have become popular enough to get their own improvised advertisement on Reality TV. On the reality TV series The Apprentice there was a bit of advertising for the HP branded Apple iPod. Supposedly their next job was to sell some products by Nescafe and to try to get people to come to the Nescafe promotional booth, they decided to give away iPods to attract people other than the $10,000 idea someone had thought up. Then someone just happens to go "the Minis are only $300!" So then they decide to place a small banner on their booth saying "Win a free iPod from HP!"
