Panther had a few issues right off the bat that were fairly big and the big issue stuff gets fixed within the first few updates (for instance the encryption would ruin your drive and other big ticket things like that).

Comcast/Earthlink COULD simply tack on an additional $10.00 per month to the customer's ISP bill (or whatever amount is appropriate), much like they do with their cable/DSL/digital TV modem boxes.
