Love the Mac > Apple
[Stuff.] Gruber distils the collective wisdom of Mac users who have heard it all before and gives it a polish. The bottom line is as follows, if Apple wanted to drive away more than a few of their existing customers and kill their CPU (Not in the microprocessor sense of the word, but in system sense of the word), sales stone dead for a number of years, then switching to Intel would be a great idea.

[Dynatech] 4/12/05: A Virginia judge has sentenced spammer Jeremy Jaynes to nine years in prison for sending over 10 million e-mails a day with the aid of 16 broadband lines. Because the case marks the first felony prosecution for spam, however, Judge Thomas Horne postponed the sentence while the ruling is appealed.
[Dynatech] 3/24/05: Apple today confirmed that it has closed what it described as "a security hole" in the iTunes Music Store that allowed users to purchase songs without digital rights management technology attached. As a result, users of iTunes versions earlier than 4.7 will need to upgrade in order to continue purchasing songs. A little late?
[Dynatech] 3/12/05 SUPERCHARGED: In its traditional midquarter update statement, the chipmaker on Thursday said its first-quarter revenue is expected to range from $9.2 billion to $9.4 billion. Please also note that she is full of dirt and holes so she may be even worse for the wear after her travels to your home. I do not know her make or model and Im not getting close enough to lift her dress and look. In the event that she escapes your home and makes her way back to us we will do what we deem necessary to destroy her and she will not be returned to you, surely you would understand our desperation.Damn things up to $16.00 too.
[Naladahc.com] naladahc | the world's most beloved polish-american: Now I'm pretty sure that Apple has kept an Intel-compatible version of OS X since the old Rhapsody development stage and I'd bet that every iteration of Mac OS X up to the recent 10.4 actually can run on CISC processors. It only makes sense that they'd have done parallel development over the past years and if they truly were smart this would also be true of their iLife apps and so forth.
[Stefangeens.com] BLOG@STEFANGEENS.COM: It was my first theatrical release of Star Wars here in Sweden, and it began with a moment of panic. The text at the start did not read "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." but its equivalent in Swedish (I was too shocked to remember how it was phrased). The introductory text floating off into space was also in Swedish, with the exception of the above-named villains, which made the overall effect rather comical.

[Monitortan.com] Monitortan: February 2005 Archives: There's my piece on the coming Internet movie boom, as companies devise legal ways to download popular films into set-top boxes. There's an item on a new biometric device that uses the length of a person's middle finger to calculate someone's age. There's my column on a Florida online bank fraud case--who's to blame? And if that weren't enough, turn to Living/Arts for my piece on a Nebraska kid who's inventing a new kind of sports broadcasting--he does play-by-play coverage of online computer games.
