[Market Manila] A few new readers have come onto this previous post on Power Mac obviously due to the topic at hand, not because they visit marketmanila.com regularly for 95+% food programming, but because they are concerned about the ramifications of publicly posted service complaints such as these. I suggest that they read a little more of this blog, and get a better feel for it, understand the concept of credibility, before you assume I only write these things with negative intentions in mind.

Overclocking Dual G4 MDD 867mhz - L3 cache info? - InsanelyMac Forum

[InsanelyMac Latest Forum Threads] I have succesfully overclocked Dual G4 867mhz machine by changing the FSB from 133mhz to 166mhz, I removed the two resistors, R676 and R22. I have tested that the machine is stable in Xbench 1.3, Geekbench and in normal usage.

Apple Store 5th Ave continues to defy gravity, macroeconomics

[The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)] I'm convinced (as a Mac convert last October, via iPhone via iPod 5G) that the popularity and interest in Apple products is only stronger in this economy and market. As a former devoted Windows user, OSX is a more friendly interface, particularly if you're new to computing (Windows users have a learning curve...typically things are less complex to accomplish than you expect them to be).

Apple Publicly Responds to FCC Inquiry, Comments on Google Voice ...

[MacRumors : Mac News and Rumors] Starting off with background information on the iPhone and the App Store, Apple notes that the App Store now "offers over 65,000 iPhone applications, and customers have downloaded over 1.5 billion applications" and that it has "fostered competition as other companies (e.g., Nokia, Microsoft, RIM, Palm and Verizon) seek to develop their own mobile platforms and launch their own application stores." In describing the App Store approval process, criteria that serves to "protect consumer privacy, safeguard children from inappropriate content, and avoid applications that degrade the core experience of the iPhone" are listed and most rejections are based on bugs, with attempts made to provide feedback to the developer to help them improve it and increase the chances of an app's approval afterward.

The Google Voice application replaces Apple’s Visual Voicemail by routing calls through a separate Google Voice telephone number that stores any voicemail, preventing voicemail from being stored on the iPhone, i.e., disabling Apple’s Visual Voicemail.

$29 OS X Snow Leopard to roar next Friday, are you ready for it ...

[Geek.com » Apple] I skipped OSX 10.5 and am still running 10.4 on my newest (intel) Mac, so it’s time to upgrade. I was holding off all thru 10.5, hoping that the next OS would optimize more, and I am very please to hear that it does, especially after a Genius Bar tech told me that 10.5 needed almost twice the system resources of 10.4!
