Mac Pro - Power Mac G3, G4 & G5 Models :: RE: G5 Dual Core ENDLESS ...

[Mac Owners Support Group] I tried everything again, PRAM reset, PMU reset, open firmware routine, disconnect superdrive, nothing. I even removed the hard drive and replaced with a blank, then got an OS X.3 install disc in the drive and tried to boot off that, but still, grey screen.

Book Bytes Interview with author Barbara Brundage

[MyMac.com: Macintosh reviews and editorials] A scrapper will use pretty different features from someone correcting photos to send in to a photography contest, for instance. I think the Downloader is probably the least useful feature for most Mac users, since it's just another piece of software to do a job the OS already handles well, except for certain very specific uses, such as when you want to apply metadata templates on import.

Hot Sync

[Macintosh HotSync] Hot Sync performs but does not sync all items. Also I have been unable to sync with ICal so do not have a complete record from my TX on my Mac.

Modbook Mac-based tablet shows promise, but limited appeal

[Hack In The Box] I say that having spent two weeks with the Modbook, which is basically an Apple MacBook that's been converted into a tablet PC for designers or those who need a slate-style tablet in the field. Real estate agents, insurance adjusters, college students, health care professionals and even mariners could conceivably cart one of these Modbooks out and about with them.

PB G4 12" memory slot failed in Power On Self-Test but appears to ...

[Mac Forums - MacBook Pro, PowerBook] Also the Apple Hardware Test passed the memory test stage and showed "No Problem", although it reported the problem from the Power On Self-test, too.

Smorgasboard of problems in OSX lately, and now endless kernel panic

[Mac Forums] OSX hasn't been particularly slow lately, but every browser I use is, Mozilla is just a crawl and Safari recently stopped working for me altogether, as a recent post I made here indicated. The only odd OSX thing is that the sound randomly decides to repeat a specific sound over and over again for a little less than a minute.

Why Apple Won’t Buy Adobe

iMac - G5 iMac (non intel) running at HD 63°C

[Mac-Forums.com] I'm not really using the machine for anything other than emailing and browsing at the moment - although I normally do some photoshop work etc. The only unusual circumstances are that the drive has been running for about 3 solid days doing an online backup (to Mozy.com) which has another 13 days estimated to go!
