Sheer & Dashboard Growlstyles

[Model : Concept ¬ Base] Continuing on from my previous Growl-related release, the Sheer and Dashboard Growlstyles offer slightly differing styles that aim to make growl seem right at home in os x. The Sheer style (my personal favorite) has a lower border opacity but higher fill opacity, reminiscent of the fullscreen Quicktime controls, whilst the Dashboard style is sampled directly from root dashboard graphics to appeal more to that appearance.

Surgeons that gamed, finished this test 11 seconds before those who didn’t.

New Mac Commercials Mock Windows

[My Mac Blog] If some enterprising young individual, or team of individuals, decides that now is the time to be the first to write a Mac OS X virus, Apple has egg on its face. I think there will be a day in the near future when OS X will see its first virus, and I hope Apple will work quickly to correct any vulnerabilities that the it brings to light.

Study Finds Sharp Rise in Mac OS X Flaws

[Internet Security Online Fight spyware, spam, viruses and improve your Internet security] A sharp increase in the number of flaws discovered in Mac OS X suggests that the operating system from Apple Computer Inc. may soon be every bit as prone to malicious attacks as Windows, according to a report released last week by the SANS Institute, a Bethesda, Md.-based security training and research firm.

SANS exposes ’safe’ technologies
