SCOTTEVEST/SeV Essential Jacket-Men?s - Review
[mymac.com: Macintosh reviews and editorials] Above all else, what really impressed me is that for all its Gear Management Clothing innovations, its 19 pockets, its BudBuckets and CollarConnect™ and Weight Management System and all the other trademarked features,, the Essential jacket still manages to look like a sensible and practical lightweight jacket on the outside, offering little indication of all the technology that’s being transported within, and I think that’s where the jacket’s considerable price tag is justified. It’s really unfair to compare it to any ordinary jacket in terms of the thought and preparation that the SCOTTEVEST people have invested in it.

Apple's Year Ahead: Slashing Mac Prices To Boost Market Share? (AAPL)
[Silicon Alley Insider] Me guess is that Apple will add BluRay disk drives to all their models and not charge extra for it - eating that would put a dent in the bottom line. They're also going to have new cases for the Mac Book and Mac Book Pro and SSD storage as an extra-cost option on all their portables, plus all the general product evolution things - larger touchpad, mutlitouch, incremental enhancements.

Here we go again ”¦ another Mac Tablet rumor
[Coolest Gadgets] It’ll have Mac OS X, slot-loading SuperDrive, accelerometer, GPS, and compatible with Apple App Store. The speculation also talks about how it will follow the iPhone’s marketing plan of initially costing a lot, followed by a price drop once the product line is estabilished.

Pssst”¦ Wanna Buy a PowerMac G5?
[Psychohistory] So my loss is your gain! You can buy a top-of-the-line PowerMac G5 that doesn’t boot, and you have the choice of either fixing it yourself, or selling it off for parts. My guess is that you could likely fix this machine, put in a new hard drive, and sell it for between $1000 and $1500 today on eBay. You also likely could sell the parts alone for over $1000, as they are extremely expensive.

Migrating Komplete 4 from G5 to MacPro
[NI User Forums] I'm getting a Mac pro 8 core to replace my G5 (which isn't running Leopard.) If I update all my Komplete 4 on the G5 to the latest versions can I then use the migration tool to copy the apps and authorizations? I am going to put the sample drive from the G5 into the Mac Pro so I won't have to re-install the sample content.

Three Years of Problems with My iMac G5
[mademistakes] I couldn’t afford a Power Mac G5 so I focused on the iMac product line. I can remember holding out for months waiting for Apple to update from the lamp-shade form factor to the new slim and white design.

Apple's walled garden
[Scripting News] My iPhone's camera is broken. The iPod never worked (I hate earbuds and none of my headphones fit their non-standard jack and buying an adapter would be ridiculous for me, I'd have to buy 5 cause I lose little chotchkas like those adapters.) It played videos for the first few weeks, then no matter what I did iTunes refused to copy videos on to the phone.

Installing Leopard on Powermac G4 using supported intel Mac Mini
[Mac Forums - Mac OS X] I have a Powermac G4 (AGP graphics, 1gb ram, 450 mhz prosesor 120GB hard drive space 40gb and a 80gb) as well as a Mac mini (intel) running leopard. I have the disks for the mac mini, and a fire wire cable and was wondering how do I install leopard on the un-supported G4 with some assistance of the mini.

iBook Graphics Acting Up
[Mac Forums] Recently my iBook's graphics have been acting up. Usually within the first three minutes I turn it on the graphics will completely mess up and a strange random design with appear on the screen flashing different designs and so forth.
